Suzie was a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse who absolutely loved what she did. There was something incredibly special to her about being present for one of life’s most beautiful moments—the birth of a child.
Then, unexpectedly, Suzie’s own life took a difficult turn. She was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of leukemia and came frighteningly close to losing her life. But Suzie wasn’t ready to let go. With three young children at home and a husband she deeply adored, giving up simply wasn’t an option.
Through arsenic infusions, chemotherapy, radiation, and ultimately a stem cell transplant, Suzie fought her way back. Today, she is still here—still loving, still fighting, and still finding ways to be part of the moments that matter most.
This venue became a beautiful way for Suzie to continue doing just that.
Eric, Suzie’s husband, works full-time as a pipe fitter, but his lifelong dream was to become a farmer. When he began searching for the perfect piece of property, he was hoping to find land with a barn that would allow him to pursue that dream. Instead, he found something even more special—a property with two barns, each with a purpose of its own.
The large barn at the back of the property became home to the farm equipment and Eric’s farming dreams. The smaller barn at the front held a different possibility. Together, they envisioned transforming it into a beautiful venue where people could gather, celebrate, and create memories.
What began as an old condemned barn slowly became the beautiful space you see today. Over the course of three years, Eric poured his time, craftsmanship, and heart into rebuilding it from the ground up and restoring it to its full potential. Suzie joined him in her own special way, hosting wine-and-paint gatherings with friends who helped bring new life and character to the space, one brushstroke at a time.
Today, the venue is more than a restored barn. It is a beautiful blend of Eric and Suzie’s individual passions, talents, dreams, and perseverance.
Suzie’s love for celebrating life’s most precious beginnings and Eric’s lifelong dream of creating something with his own hands came together to create a place where others can celebrate two of life’s most meaningful milestones: the day two people say, “I do,” and the day they welcome a new life into the world.
